Job Summary
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida‑licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients. This is a full‑time position requiring weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high‑quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
- Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and selecting, preparing and administering the appropriate contrast material
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
- Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
Qualifications
- 2‑year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Valid ARRT (MR) credential
- Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure
- 2 years of diagnostic x‑ray experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer‑relations, mathematical, analytical, grammatical/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, and clerical skills
