Responsibilities:
- Performs all job responsibilities of MRI Technologist Advanced, including procedures, MR safety and patient safety in the department, and maintaining patient information.
- Serves as a technical resource to Technologists on a daily basis, assisting with continuing education needs and training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications.
- Responsible for offering remediation with Technologists, when necessary, and participates in staff annual performance reviews.
- Responsible for Tech quality assurance program and their protocols alongside of or in place of the Lead MRI Tech, and assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment.
- When appropriate, creates and implements new training programs and/or assists with the startup of new offsite locations.
- Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques, shares pertinent information with department, and assists with research studies, when applicable.
- Assists with accreditation responsibilities and ensures that all quality control tests, safety standards, and procedures are conducted and documented.
- Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology.
- 3 years of experience in MRI required.
- ARRT MR or ARMRIT certified required.
- ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
