Job Summary

MRI Technologist PRN with HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. Provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Must be Florida‑licensed and will work under the direction of a radiologist.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
  • Facilitate MRI procedures by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material.
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 2‑year AMA‑approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • 1‑3 years previous experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer‑relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading/comprehension of written instructions, following verbal instructions, computer, and clerical skills.
