Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join the team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. The role involves preparing patients, managing procedures, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the MRI process.

  • Prepares patients and collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
  • Performs all appropriate MRI procedures.
  • Observes patients’ conditions.
  • Enforces MRI safety policies, adheres to hospital and regulatory requirements, and assists in maintaining accreditation.
  • Understands and operates electronic information systems.
  • Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
  • Administers contrast media as required.
  • Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of MRI and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
  • Comes on call after regular hours as assigned.
  • Maintains appropriate supplies.
  • Assures the primary area is clean and organized; assists in other areas of the department when not needed in the primary area.
  • Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience (Required) : Experience in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience (Preferred) : One year dedicated MRI/CT experience.
  • Education (Required) : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Education (Preferred) : Successful completion of formal computer courses.
  • License/Certification (Required) : ARRT Registered and BLS within 90 days of employment.
  • License/Certification (Preferred) : ARRT-MRI Registered.
