Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

Responsibilities

  • You will compassionately assist and position patients.
  • You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
  • You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
  • You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
  • You will turn over and prepare the room using a septic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
  • You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
  • ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
  • BCLSrequiredwithin30 daysof start date.
  • 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
  • On Callrequired and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
