Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high‑quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
- Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians’ orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.
- Prepares patient and performs MRI procedures.
- Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.
- Performs incidental general office duties to include: answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Medical Radiographer: WA (MRAD:WA), upon hire and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR), upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR), upon hire
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
