Job Summary
Work Schedule: Per Diem Minimum 48 hours in a 6-week schedule; on call and holiday rotation
Responsibilities
- The MR technologist demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MR safety and medical terminology.
- Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique.
- The MR technologist performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
- Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients.
- The MR technologist remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
- The MR technologist engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.
- The MR technologist uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties.
