Role:
MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.
Key Duties:
- Obtain correct patient orders, ensure proper identification and preparation, select appropriate imaging protocols, and optimize technical factors while prioritizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and assist with interventional procedures.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR, or equivalent; graduate from a specialty radiologic technology program; preferred bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency in routine and complex duties, strong understanding of safety protocols, and ability to apply principles of magnetic resonance imaging.
Work Environment & Expectations:
Clinical setting with accountability for adherence to policies, procedures, and departmental priorities. Active participation in professional development and quality initiatives is expected.
