Job Description
Responsible for producing MRI images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis. Interprets a physician's scanning/exam instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares, and operates the MR scanner and x‑ray equipment (as needed), and positions the patient to capture appropriate images.
Principal Accountabilities
- Interprets MR Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
- Evaluates MR scans and X‑Ray images (as needed) for technical quality.
- Utilizes EPIC Radiant and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Starts IV lines and pre‑screens outpatients prior to contrast exams.
- Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
- Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
- Treats fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, including QA, stock maintenance, and customer service recovery.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Radiology and/or a graduate of an accredited radiology program.
- MR Certified through ARRT or ARMRIT.
- BLS through AHA.
Preferred
- State RT License for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP.
