MRI Technologist - Part-Time - Days/Evenings FLEX

As an MRI Technologist, you will conduct MRI exams, including Interventional MRI, ensuring adherence to MR safety protocols and delivering excellent patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Complete all exam steps, including documentation of patient history, tech info, contrast info, and IV injection information, and scan paperwork packs into the system.
• Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients.
• Follow patient identification policy: label syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials; adhere to P+P regarding ISTAT use at each site.
• Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physician instructions.
• Assess stock levels and enter stock/pantry orders in the computer system.

Required Skills and Experience

• Education : Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences; ARRT Certification in MRI.
• Licensure : ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license; enhanced NYS license for injection on or before completion of the introductory period.
• Experience : Preference for two years’ experience, but new graduates are welcomed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Problem solving ability and attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for long periods while performing MRI studies, and to move MRI equipment as necessary.

Location and Travel Requirements

• Onsite at Cayuga Healthcare System. Based at Cayuga Medical Center, 101 Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850, with potential support at East and Cortland Campuses.
• Shift: Part-Time – Days/Evenings FLEX.
• 0%–5% travel may be expected.

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard rate $36.00 to $54.00 per hour, plus benefits.
• Shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends according to schedule.
