Role: MRI Technologist responsible for independently operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care.
Key Duties
Perform MRI procedures proficiently, including patient positioning, coil selection, and protocol adherence. Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, obtain clinical histories, and communicate effectively. Prepare the scan room, administer contrast within scope, and implement emergency procedures when necessary. Accurately record data, perform quality control, and stay informed on departmental updates. Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, and coordinate workflow to ensure proper staffing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent experience.
- ARMRIT, ARRT in Radiology & MRI, or ARRT in MRI certification; BLS certification.
- Proficient in computer and data entry skills, with good mathematical aptitude.
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures.
Additional Information
