SpineSearch is partnering with a leading hospital system in New York City to identify an experienced MRI Technologist to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MRI Technologist with strong clinical and patient-care skills who is looking to join a well-established hospital system in NYC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI diagnostic scans in accordance with clinical requisitions and established protocols.
  • Explain MRI procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Review and verify patient identity, medical history, and exam requisitions.
  • Modify testing parameters under direction to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging.
  • Process and archive images according to department procedures.
  • Document patient history and scan-related information in the practice management system.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the appropriate scope of practice and established protocols.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and follow all infection control and patient safety standards.
  • Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and preparation for exams as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and assist with receiving and monitoring orders.
  • Identify equipment issues and coordinate appropriate service and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with departmental systems, equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Set up physiological monitoring and stimulus delivery equipment when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiography.
  • Approximately 2 years of experience working as an MRI Technologist.
  • Experience as a registered technologist in another radiology modality may be applicable.

Required Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current, active, unrestricted New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R).
  • ARRT (MR) Certification.
  • NYS Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification.
  • BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Schedule & Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required.
  • Position requires occasional lifting of equipment and assisting with patients.
