This is a PRN, Varied Shifts position.This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams on patients, this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure to them. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This MRI Technologist will operate the MRI equipment.MRI Technologist Responsibilities:Performing high-quality (MRI) proceduresPromoting goodwill among coworkers and other departments, and maintaining a positive, comforting demeanor with all patientsMaintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirementsTaking every precaution to protect oneself, the patient, and others from potential harm relating to the magnetic fieldIdentifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policyExperience Requirements:MRI Technologist Experience PreferredImaging Experience PreferredExperience working in a hospital setting PreferredExperience in Radiology Department PreferredCustomer Service Experience PreferredEducation & Credential Requirements:Vocational School or Associate's DegreeAmerican Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Required OrRegistered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required OrCertified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required OrRegistered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required OrBasic Life Support (BLS) Required*If CRT or ARRT (R) must obtain ARRT (MRI) registry within 18 months.This position will be located at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL.
