MRI Technologist, MRI Department, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is seeking a MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Department at Baptist Medical Center in Downtown Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full‑Time opportunity, offering shifts Monday‑Friday 2:00pm‑10:30pm.

This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. The technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams, explain the procedure, work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, and operate the MRI equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality MRI procedures following established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.
• Prepare patients for MRI exams and explain procedures clearly.
• Operate MRI equipment effectively and efficiently.
• Promote a positive and comforting environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Implement precautions to protect self, patient, and others from magnetic field hazards.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by licensed practitioners.

Experience

• Customer Service Experience
• Experience in Radiology Department
• Experience working in a hospital setting
• Imaging Experience
• MRI Technologist Experience

License and Certification

• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – DOH
• Licensed Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – ARRT
• Driver's License – DMV
• Registered Technologist in Radiography – ARRT
• Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging – ARRT
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – State Radiologic Health Branch
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
