Shift Detail: Monday through Friday. No weekends or call. $15,000 NEW HIRE BONUS.

Job Summary

Performs MRI exams in the hospital by selecting software parameters according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. Prepares and positions patients, injects with contrast media, and selects anatomical and technical parameters accurately to produce cross‑sectional images.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI exams according to department procedures and protocols, selecting software parameters and producing cross‑sectional images.
  • Prepare and position patients, administer contrast media, and perform venipuncture as needed.
  • Conduct MRI safety screening of patient, staff and equipment, following contraindication protocols.
  • Input data into RIS and capture examination details, charges and resource allocation; transfer annotated images into PACS.
  • Review physician orders and CPOE requisitions for completeness, verify clinical information and laboratory results.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
  • Use infection control techniques and practice standard precautions.
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies and equipment; report malfunctions and perform quality assurance testing per established protocols.
  • Transport patients as necessary.
  • Maintain clinical proficiency and complete annual health stream requirements.
  • Participate in department quality, safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Complete mandatory annual Level II personnel training.
  • Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, evaluating their growth and competence in performing imaging procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or Graduate of the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARM RIT).
  • Valid licensure, certification or registration required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). Knowledge of cross‑section anatomy preferred.
  • Experience with PACS and digital technology.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions and effectively communicate information.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to handle diverse patient populations, including difficult patients.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
