Role:
Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope; monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
- Prepares equipment, selects imaging parameters, implements safety standards, and performs quality control.
- Positions patients, conducts imaging procedures, analyzes results, and addresses image quality issues; reports scan results.
- Utilizes critical thinking and decisive judgment to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Technologist (RT) and MRI-eligible or certified within 12 months by ARRT or ARMRIT.
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
