Lead MRI Technologist Position

Baptist Health is looking to add a Lead MRI Technologist to our MRI department at Baptist Medical Center in Downtown Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full‑Time position. The role is a working leadership position responsible for both the quality and quantity of MRI procedures performed. Staff training and development as well as evaluations of personnel and equipment are expected.

The ideal candidate will have both inpatient and outpatient experience as well as experience in the ER.

Responsibilities

• Work in a leadership position.
• Ensure quality and quantity of MRI procedures.
• Assist in equipment evaluations and ensure staff compliance with Employee Health and Mandatory Education requirements.
• Orient new employees to the department.
• Manage payroll and timekeeping.
• Create staff work assignments and schedules.
• Participate in annual performance evaluations.
• Perform verbal disciplinary reviews and documentation.
• Participate in budget and planning.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory.
• Act as patient liaison.

Positions requiring a Level II Background (detailed fingerprint‑based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
