Required Education
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
Recommended Education
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Required Work Experience
Two years of experience.
Recommended Work Experience
Pediatric experience.
Required Certifications
One of the following license or registry is required.

- ARMRIT – MRI Technician Certification – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Description
- Knowledge and skills to perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
- Use correct scan protocols to optimize image quality while decreasing scan length and repeat procedures, and demonstrate knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection.
- Screen patients, families, and staff with attention to pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
- Follow all safety recommendations regarding MRI.
- Ensure that work area is properly maintained.
- Troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment.
- Comply with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
