Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation’s largest dental residency program, and New York State’s largest behavioral health program. Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Financial Analyst – Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate works with the management team of Revenue Cycle Operations to drive business value by supporting revenue cycle management in the analysis of revenue cycle data as well as proactive identification of process‑improvement opportunities and applying analytical and critical thinking to generate innovative and practical solutions to revenue cycle issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs complex data analysis of various dashboards using Tableau with the goal of delivering sophisticated analysis products in report or presentation format.
  • Develops programs, methodologies, and files from analyzing and presenting data with the goal of well-organized, well-written, documented and maintained data files.
  • Maintains COVID-19 & Telehealth reporting.
  • Proactively works with multidisciplinary teams to reduce and eliminate future denials, patient refunds, patient disputes, and other revenue opportunities as it relates to daily operations.
  • Identifies and examines the root causes of denials, and works with other departments in the Revenue Cycle to improve operations.
  • Works closely with RCO management to identify issues and trends.
  • Assists with developing efficient and effective outpatient denial management workflows and operations.
  • Develops and maintains hospital reporting, including daily reporting, dashboards, cash, and other ad hoc requested reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field and a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare or related field.
  • High level of analytical skills and dynamic communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Microsoft Excel and Word familiarity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospital finance.
  • Skilled in data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
  • Microsoft Products proficiency.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range in compliance with New York state law. The salary range for this role is $58,500.00 – $58,500.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, specialty, education and hospital need. The range does not include bonus, incentive or other compensation.
