$10,000 sign‑on bonus + up to $5,000 relocation assistance available.
Full Time – Weekend Days (Fri–Sun, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
As an MRI Technologist at MUSC, you will be at the forefront of medical imaging, utilizing advanced MRI technology including 3T, mobile, and upright MRI scanners. At MUSC our MRI technologists have access to dedicated protocol support and system MRSO support every day. Working in a collaborative and patient‑centric environment, they play a critical role in delivering exceptional healthcare outcomes.
Compensation & Incentives
- Sign‑on bonus: $10,000
- Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates
- Shift differential: Weekend Day +$2.30 /hr
- Additional pay: Call pay, overtime, etc.

Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic‑quality images.
- Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote comfort and cooperation.
- Adhere to safety standards, infection control practices, and MRI‑specific protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond to their needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- 0–2 years of modality‑specific work experience; at least 1 year of X‑Ray experience preferred.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT); if not registered, must obtain within 1 year in this position.
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
