MRI Technologist# MRI TechnologistWeed Army Community Hospital - Fort Irwin - Fort Irwin, CA 92310, CA 92310## OverviewSalary Range$49.03 - $54.12 Hourly## DescriptionCompass Government Solutions is seeking an experienced **MRI Technologist** to provide diagnostic imaging services at **Weed Army Community Hospital at Fort Irwin, California**. The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while maintaining patient safety, following established imaging protocols, and supporting the clinical needs of the Radiology Department.**Work Schedule:*** Monday - Friday* , eight (8) hours of work per day with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period + Forty (40) hours per week**JOB DUTIES*** Operate MRI imaging equipment and perform routine diagnostic MRI examinations.* Follow established MRI protocols, patient safety procedures, and infection-control requirements.* Screen patients for MRI contraindications, including implanted devices, foreign bodies, and other safety concerns.* Position and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures.* Determine whether special patient preparation is required and make necessary technical adjustments.* Process digital images and transmit appropriate image series to radiologists for interpretation.* Use Picture Archiving and Communication Systems and Radiology Information Systems.* Document procedures and maintain records in accordance with medical treatment facility requirements.* Perform equipment calibrations and quality-control activities as directed.* Recognize imaging artifacts, equipment errors, and abnormal equipment values and report them to designated personnel.* Initiate equipment repair procedures and document equipment problems when necessary.* Observe patients for adverse reactions to contrast media and immediately report concerns to the radiologist.* Initiate appropriate emergency response measures when a patient experiences cardiac or respiratory distress.* Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy standards.## Qualifications* U.S. citizenship and legal authorization to work in the United States.* Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology or another qualifying radiologic sciences program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.* At least one year of recent clinical MRI experience completed within the previous two years following graduation.* Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.* Current ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.* Current Basic Life Support certification.* Compliance with all ARRT continuing education requirements.* Experience using PACS and RIS systems.* Knowledge of MRI safety standards, patient screening requirements, infection control, and patient privacy practices.
