Position Summary
- Responsible for maintaining protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator/Lead(s).
- Performs and maintains daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners as required by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the state Department of State Health Services, and other credentialing organizations.
- Performs IV insertion for contrast following OSHA guidelines.
- Identifies each patient, reviews exam paperwork with the patient, and obtains appropriate medical history.
- Confirms that all images are sent to PACS per policy and procedures and verifies that tech notes and required documents have transmitted to PACS.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
- Graduate of a recognized AMA Council on Education program in radiological technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to perform intravenous injections with proficiency.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
