Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time, on-site MRI Technologist role located in Flagstaff, AZ. The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality MRI examinations, following established protocols and safety standards while ensuring patient comfort throughout the imaging process. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment (Siemens), verifying patient histories, and collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses. The role also involves maintaining imaging equipment, monitoring for quality assurance, documenting procedures in the medical record, and adhering to infection control and radiation safety guidelines. The MRI Technologist will contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating clearly, responding to questions, and supporting Flagstaff Bone & Joint's commitment to exceptional orthopedic care.

Qualifications

  • Certification and professional credentials: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI, and current state licensure as required.
  • Technical expertise: Proficiency in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, and Medical Imaging, including MRI safety, imaging protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Clinical knowledge: Foundational understanding of Medicine as it relates to orthopedic conditions, anatomy, and pathology to support accurate imaging and collaboration with providers.
  • Quality and safety: Commitment to image quality, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
  • Additional preferred qualifications: Prior experience as an MRI Technologist in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal setting; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment; attention to detail and reliability in documentation and workflow.
  • Maintain a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Other projects/duties as directed
