Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
• Experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols and patient positioning
• Ability to follow safety regulations regarding MRI procedures
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Monitor patients throughout the scanning process, providing reassurance and assistance as needed
• Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting to radiologists
• Maintain MRI equipment, following cleaning and upkeep procedures
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, particularly regarding magnetic field hazards
• Document procedures, observations, and patient information accurately
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow
