Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of imaging protocols and patient positioning
- Ability to follow safety regulations regarding MRI procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
- Monitor patients throughout the scanning process, providing reassurance and assistance as needed
- Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting to radiologists
- Maintain MRI equipment, following cleaning and upkeep procedures
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, particularly regarding magnetic field hazards
- Document procedures, observations, and patient information accurately
