MRI Technologist

Position Summary Performs routine MRI procedures, both scheduled and emergency, ensuring patient safety and adhering to departmental quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment, selecting appropriate technical settings to accurately visualize anatomy.
• Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs, develop care plans, and explain procedures clearly.
• Create a supportive environment for patients and families, responding to individual needs.
• Evaluate exam requisitions, review patient data, and determine procedure appropriateness based on diagnosis.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate’s degree in Allied Health; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current MRI license or ARRT certification and BLS certification required; MRI registry eligibility by ARRT must be achieved within 18 months of hire.
