MRI Technologist
MRI Technologist operates and maintains a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to obtain images from patients which are used by physicians to diagnose the nature and extent of designated pathologies. Participates in the establishment of scan protocol, as appropriate. Duties include verifying written request for MRI procedures, instructing patients regarding MRI procedures, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, obtaining images, performing contrast injections, maintaining current knowledge of MRI environmental, patient and visitor safety, charging procedures accurately, sending images to PACS, entering and monitoring patient data, performing quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and procedures, maintaining MRI Lab supplies, providing instruction and guidance in MRI procedures to staff in training, demonstrating clinical knowledge and skill in the care of various age groups, ensuring adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, performing additional duties as assigned, obtaining and correctly documenting verbal and telephone orders per facility policy, rotating to other imaging departments as needed, participating in holiday and on-call rotation requirements.

Qualifications Requirements:
- Education requirements: Successful completion of a radiological program or equivalent military training
- Work experience requirements: Two (2) years experience in diagnostic radiology in a health care facility and one (1) year experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
- Required licenses/ certifications/courses ARRT registered, BLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment ), current South Carolina license issued by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association
