MRI Technologist - Full Time
Locations: Fort Mill, SC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $37-$40/hour
Sign-On Bonus: Available
On-Call: Required (nights/weekends as scheduled)
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced and motivated MRI Technologists to join a growing healthcare team in Fort Mill and Rock Hill, South Carolina. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations, ensuring patient safety, and supporting efficient imaging operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Shift Options
Candidates may be scheduled for one of the following shifts:
  • Weekday Schedule: Tuesday-Friday | 4x10s (8:00 AM-6:30 PM)
Night and weekend on-call rotation is required (at least one week per month).
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI examinations on patients of all ages
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning
  • Operate MRI equipment and maintain image quality standards
  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and contrast materials
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Utilize PACS and imaging systems effectively
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support department operations, including on-call coverage
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience accepted
Experience
  • 1-2 years of MRI or radiologic experience preferred
  • Strong new graduates with clinical rotations may be considered
Certifications
  • ARRT Registered (required)
  • MR Certification preferred (not required if trainable)
  • BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) - must be obtained within 7 days of hire
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge of MRI safety and imaging protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts and on-call schedules
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Clinical healthcare setting
  • Standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Frequent computer and equipment use
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
