MOWR Paraprofessional/Instructional Aide

Paraprofessional Position

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, and successful completion of the Paraprofessional Test or
• 60 college credit hours or an associate's degree from an accredited college
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to work with students at various educational levels
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to effectively communicate with students and employees
• Ability to promote good customer service
• Under supervision of the teacher, works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
• Participates in in-service training programs, as assigned
• Performs various duties to ensure the safety of students is always maintained at the school site
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Reports To: Teacher and Site Principal

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the Paraprofessional Test or 60 college credit hours above high school diploma or an associate's degree from an accredited college
• Three letters of recommendation, preferably from previous employers or supervisors. Please do not include letters of recommendation from relatives/family members.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• First Aide/CPR or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
