Northwell Health is seeking BC/BE full-time Movement Disorders Physicians to join its rapidly expanding Parkinson's and Movement Disorders program. This role involves providing superb clinical care, participating in innovative care models, engaging in collaborative research, leading progressive community programs, and contributing to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Join a multi-disciplinary team across various locations in Long Island, Manhattan, and Westchester.

Practice Info

  • The Parkinson's and Movement Disorders program is among the largest in the Northeast.
  • Provides comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care in primary academic locations and care centers.
  • The surgical program includes an active deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).
  • Multidisciplinary team includes specialty-trained, board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, neuropsychologists, and social workers.
  • Closely collaborates with Northwell’s Rehabilitation Network, including occupational, physical, speech, and other therapists.
  • A unique, dedicated, and specialized 12-bed Parkinson's and movement disorders inpatient unit at Glen Cove Hospital offers advanced rehabilitation services and medical and surgical optimization.

Compensation

  • Competitive salaries with annual incentive compensation bonus.
  • Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity.

Requirements

  • MD Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited).
  • Completion of Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship.
  • Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.
  • Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
