Job Summary

Geisinger Neuroscience Institute seeks a movement disorders neurologist to join the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center team in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient movement disorders consults in a tertiary care setting.
• Collaborate with a system-wide care team including another fellowship-trained movement disorders neurologist, functional neurosurgeons, and a nurse navigator.
• Perform and manage therapies such as botulinum toxin injections for dystonia and deep brain stimulation management.
• Participate in teaching medical students and residency residents of the new neurology residency program.
• Contribute to educational and academic activities as a faculty member.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board-certified or eligible in Neurology with fellowship training in movement disorders.
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Proven clinical experience with botulinum toxin therapy and deep brain stimulation.
• Interest in teaching and academic involvement.
