Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to:Perform mechanical design and inspection (machinery and hydraulics) on movable bridges and other heavy movable structuresCoordinate workload to complete on schedule and on budgetReview of mechanical documentsPerform inspections and write associated reportsWrite/edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, systems and devicesProvide construction support as neededConduct QA/QC on and coordinate with the work of other Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Coordinators or TechniciansWork will include a mixture of office and field work and may require travelMentor younger mechanical staffPreferred Qualifications:5 years' experience in mechanical design on movable bridges and other heavy movable structuresPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firmPreference given to local candidatesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringPrevious experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildingsRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
