Mossyrock -Secondary Life Skills (SpEd) Paraeducator

Mossyrock School District is seeking a full-time Secondary Life Skills Special Education Paraeducator. The successful candidate will work with students with disabilities and provide support to the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and life skills instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide support to students with disabilities in the classroom and during activities
- Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Help students with organization and time management skills
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with special education teacher and other staff members to develop and implement instructional strategies and behavior plans
- Attend meetings and trainings as required - Perform other duties as assigned by the special education teacher or school administration
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Ability to assist with personal care tasks, such as toileting and feeding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with special education teacher and other staff members
- Basic computer skills - Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and physically assist students as needed.
