Evaluating complex mortgage applications, the full-time remote Mortgage Underwriter will manage the end-to-end underwriting review, ensuring compliance with credit policies while collaborating with various teams to enhance the borrower experience. Key responsibilities: Lead comprehensive underwriting reviews, analyzing income, assets, liabilities, collateral, and credit Resolve escalated files by collaborating with credit policy, capital markets, and compliance teams Identify underwriting trends and recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency Required qualifications: Minimum of 8+ years of recent residential mortgage underwriting experience Ability to underwrite mortgage loan files for agency compliance and investor guidelines Experience with reviewing borrower profiles, including income documentation and credit reports Preferred experience with Jumbo loans and manual underwriting Familiarity with Encompass software is preferred
