Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Mortgage Specialist will support the licensing process by reviewing and processing mortgage license applications and renewals while delivering excellent service to licensees and consumers in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Review, process, and maintain mortgage license applications and renewals in compliance with the North Carolina SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act Respond to inquiries and provide timely information to current and prospective licensees and stakeholders Interpret and apply relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and agency policies to licensing activities Required qualifications At least one year of experience in mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, or the financial services industry High school diploma or GED with two years of administrative support experience, preferably in the financial services industry Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations Experience using the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) is preferred
