Mortgage ProcessorThe Mortgage Processor is responsible for the execution and administration of residential mortgage loans from application through funding and post-closing. This position manages the mortgage pipeline, coordinates all operational aspects of the lending process, and ensures loan files are accurate, compliant, and completed on time. The Mortgage Processor serves as a central point of coordination among borrowers, Relationship Managers, title companies, appraisers, realtors, underwriters, investors, and internal staff.

This role combines advanced processing, closing coordination, secondary market support, reporting, and quality control responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage residential mortgage files from application through closing, funding, and post-closing completionReview loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, compliance, and program eligibilityCollect, organize, and verify borrower documentation, including income, assets, employment, credit, and collateral informationPrepare and deliver required disclosures and loan documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank proceduresOrder and manage title commitments, flood determinations, insurance, credit reports, and other third-party servicesPrepare loan packages for underwriting review and manage underwriting conditions through final approvalCoordinate with borrowers, Relationship Managers, title companies, realtors, settlement agents, and other parties to ensure timely loan progressionPrepare, review, and coordinate Closing Disclosures, closing packages, funding documentation, and post-closing requirementsCoordinate loan funding, investor delivery, internal boarding, and file completion activitiesMaintain accurate records within loan origination, imaging, and reporting systems and generate mortgage pipeline and production reportsSupport audits, compliance reviews, quality control initiatives, and investor requirementsIdentify process improvements that enhance efficiency, service levels, and file qualityQualificationsThree to five years of residential mortgage processing, closing, underwriting support, or mortgage operations experience requiredStrong working knowledge of conventional, government, secondary market, and in-house mortgage lending programsSolid understanding of mortgage documentation, underwriting fundamentals, compliance requirements, and closing proceduresWorking knowledge of TRID, RESPA, consumer mortgage disclosures, and mortgage compliance standardsExperience with loan origination systems, automated underwriting systems, imaging platforms, document preparation software, and Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated ability to independently manage a mortgage pipeline and meet production deadlinesCore CompetenciesAdvanced mortgage processing expertise Workflow and pipeline management Closing and funding coordination Documentation review and quality control Regulatory compliance awareness Systems proficiency and data integrity Problem-solving and issue resolution Organization and attention to detail Communication and relationship management Continuous process improvementCompensationCompetitive base salary with incentive opportunities tied to production, service quality, file accuracy, and operational performanceReportingReports to designated lending management.
