The ideal candidate also upholds a dedication to building and maintaining a robust network of referral partners, including realtors, builders, and financial professionals.As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you are responsible for originating mortgage/consumer loan applications to increase portfolio and meet monthly production goals, while ensuring compliance with lending rules and regulations.

The MLO will actively promote new mortgage and consumer loan business development for NVE Bank, A Division of Ion Bank in upper New Jersey. Develop professional relationship with area realtors and builders to promote new loan business.Responsibilities:Ensure company service standards are continually achieved in area of responsibilityOriginate consumer loans and mortgagesMeet monthly production goals established by managementInterviews consumer/residential loan applicants, compiles and analyzes data for loan/mortgage applications and requests specified informationRecommends and outlines terms of loan, informs prospective borrowers of loan commitmentsActively develops new customer prospects and business for the bank through realtor, attorney, and builder account salesHandles inquiries from applicants and branch personnel, effectivelyResolves customer complaintsValid driver's license requiredEnsure activities within assigned functional area of responsibility are in line with Bank policyRequired to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and maintain a unique identifying number.Other Functions:Notifies applicant of loan decision in a timely mannerParticipate in banking and civic organizations to promote the Bank's image and visibility within the CommunityPerform other duties as requested*The above is a description of the ordinary duties of the position.
