Mortgage Loan OfficerSell mortgage loan products through sales efforts with individuals, builders, realtors, and other contact groups.Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures. Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.Contact individuals, realtors and builders, attend chamber and other civic meetings to expand network contacts to generate salesEngage in marketing and promotional activities, such as giving presentations to groups, in an effort to generate salesConsult with customer to compile loan application in order to meet compliance guidelines while negotiating terms and conditionsCollect, compile and analyze information for acceptability for approval for investor's loan productCommunicate with clients and potential clients, answering questions and providing information, acting as the primary point of contact from sale to closingFollow up closely with processor to ensure loans are closed timelyMaintain up-to-date knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loan rules, regulations and guidelines through a combination of educational classes, correspondence courses, on the job training and investor web sitesOther duties as assignedOutside sales. Unregulated and unmonitored schedule. Due to the nature of this position, loan demand and customer convenience, employee is often called upon to work evening hours and week-ends; therefore, their hours can be adjusted at their discretion to meet their own schedules. When in office, uses a computer with various programs.Education: High school/GED education, college degree preferred.

Experience: Outside sales experience with FHA, VA, and conventional lending.Employees are expected to represent Stock Yards Bank & Trust in a professional manner to customers and outside contactsExcellent interpersonal communication skills, consisting of the ability to write and speak effectively to othersBe a productive team player, with the ability to learn, apply training and comprehend policies and proceduresFlexible to changing working situations and able to meet deadlines as they arisePC Literacy with 35 WPM typing skillsKnowledge of basic underwriting guidelines preferredProfessional appearance and demeanorExcellent sales and negotiating skills, and assertivenessAbility to perform in high pressure situationsPrimarily sedentary work performed in an office environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with clients, team members, and vendors via phone, video, and in person. Visual acuity sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents, and financial data. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching.
