Your future begins here!Essential Functions:Interview loan applicantsCollect and analyze information regarding customer income, assets, investments or debtsDetermine which bank product best fits the customer's needsProvide advice to customer regarding advantages and disadvantages of different productsKnowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines as well as government productsMakes preliminary determination of applicant's credit worthiness and has the authority to issue prequalification statement of borrower's eligibilityCall on realtors, builders, community development corporations and other potential mortgage customers to establish relationships for loan referralsHandle processing of loan request in accordance with bank policy and applicable regulatory requirements as well as secondary market criteria and guidelinesAdhere to Quality Customer Service parameters; conform with and abide by written policies and procedures for the bankParticipate in community events and real estate industry functions to identify, develop and promote additional businessAttend training on all residential lending products, may require travelAdvice management of new products offered in the market to ensure the bank remains competitivePromote and cross-sell other bank productsPerform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisorExpertise in mortgage products and services as well as regulatory guidelinesExcellent problem-solving skills to identify client needs and resolve problemsMust have a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively throughout the bank and to represent the bank positively to the publicMust be able to quickly and effectively respond to customer inquiries and requests in demanding environmentsCapable of handling customer and employee contact situations tactfully and professionallyEnsure that the Bank's policies and procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied withProvide assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactionsBe involved in performing marketing endeavors/effortsContinuously update skills by participating in professional trainingSeek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the BankAll other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by managementEqual Opportunity Employer, including disabled/veterans.
