Monitor Tech- Full Time (Night Shift)Under the supervision, and/or direction of the Nursing Director/Clinical Manager, Resource Nurse, or Staff Nurse performs the Monitor Tech functions and Unit Secretary functions. Responsible for ensuring a professional atmosphere in the nursing unit. Demonstrates good public relations skills during interaction with physicians, patients, visitors, and other hospital staff.
Greets, directs, and gives non-professional factual information to patients and personnel from other departments. Critical to success of patient and physician satisfaction.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Required licensures/certifications: Current BLSSkills and Abilities: Good oral and written communication skills in the English language. Bilingual a plus.
Medical terminology.Experience: Moderately advanced knowledge of ECG rhythms; knowledge of 12 lead ECG preferred. Previous experience as a monitor technician preferred.
