JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Injection Mold Repair Technician
Department: Injection Molding Tool Room
Reports To: Tool Room Manager
Revision: E | Control No.: ENJD 5.0
Job Purpose
Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of injection molds to support production and ensure tooling reliability.
Essential Functions
* Repair, clean, and maintain injection molds according to work orders and priorities.
* Operate toolroom equipment, including overhead cranes, grinders, lathes, and hand tools.
* Identify mold issues and recommend improvements to repair and maintenance processes.
* Complete required maintenance records and documentation.
* Assist toolroom team members as needed.
* Work overtime and weekends when required.
Additional Responsibilities
* Comply with company policies, safety regulations, IATF 16949:2016, and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Competencies
* High school diploma/GED preferred, or five years of equivalent relevant experience in an injection molding toolroom.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
* Knowledge of safe operation of cranes, hoists, lifts, power tools, and hand tools.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and/or pull up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
