Molding Operator

Molding OperatorWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team in Worcester, MA. In this role, you will use hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment to compact material mixes into finished product shapes. The ideal candidate has experience using a variety of molding techniques, measuring tools, and hand and power tools, and can consistently produce products that meet quality specifications.ResponsibilitiesMold products using hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment.Apply appropriate pressing techniques to compact material mixes into the required shapes.Form and mold basic product shapes according to specifications.Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and a tamping gun safely and effectively.Recognize differences among molding materials, product characteristics, mixes, pressing methods, and finishing techniques.Perform initial one-point density tests on molded pieces to evaluate tolerances and conformance to specifications.Follow established procedures and quality standards.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.QualificationsBasic knowledge of a limited variety of molding materials and product characteristics.Familiarity with molding, pressing, and finishing techniques.Ability to use a variety of measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.Knowledge of molding equipment and pressing techniques.Ability to perform basic density testing and interpret results against specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.Ability to work the scheduled second shift Monday through Friday.
