Molder Operator Night ShiftPosition: Molder OperatorLocation: Hickory, NCEmployment Status: Full Time, Non ExemptShifts: Night: 6:00PM – 6:00AMDepartment: ManufacturingReports To: Shift SupervisorPosition Summary: The Molder Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient production and assembly of components using injection molding and related equipment. This role supports product quality, regulatory compliance, and production efficiency by setting up, operating, monitoring, and adjusting molding machines and auxiliary equipment in a GMP/ISO-regulated manufacturing environment.This opportunity is open to qualified internal candidates interested in expanding their manufacturing skills and experience.Pay InformationStarting rate: $21.50 per hourProgression rate: $23.50 per hour after successful qualification in accordance with the manufacturing pay tableShift differential: $1.00 per hour for Night shiftKey ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPEPerform required safety inspections on molding and auxiliary equipmentMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaReport and support correction of safety or mechanical concernsMachine OperationSet up, start up, and operate injection molding machines and related equipmentPerform grade changes and process adjustments to maintain product qualityMonitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issuesAssemble components into finished products according to work instructionsInspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality standards are metQuality & DocumentationComply with GMP, ISO, and quality system requirementsVerify materials, components, and work-in-process match work ordersPerform inspections for defects and conformance to specificationsAccurately complete production and quality documentationCollaborate with quality team members to ensure product standards are metProduction & InventoryMaintain proper handling, labeling, and staging of materials and finished goodsEnsure accurate completion of production records and logsSupport inventory counts, cycle counts, and material trackingMaintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to prevent contaminationEfficiency & ProductivityMeet or exceed production targets while maintaining quality standardsMinimize downtime through proactive monitoring and issue escalationEnsure materials and supplies are available to support uninterrupted productionTeamworkWork collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, safety, and warehouse teamsCommunicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and coworkersContribute to a positive and respectful team environmentQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrevious manufacturing or molding experience preferredAbility to follow work instructions, safety rules, and quality standardsBasic math, measurement, and computer skillsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityForklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsRegular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 65 lbs.Frequent bending, reaching, and material handlingAbility to work in heat, noise, dust, and PPE required environmentsEqual Opportunity StatementGusmer Enterprises, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and supporting internal career growth.
