Chemical Engraving TechnicianWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Engraving Technician to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone interested in learning specialized processes related to chemical engraving, mold texturing, and tooling preparation for the automotive and manufacturing industries. The technician will support various stages of the engraving and texturing process, including mold preparation, masking, blasting, cleaning, inspection, shipping/receiving, and general production support.
Training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with chemical engraving, mold texturing, and tooling preparation processesSupport mold set-up, tear down, cleaning, staging, and handling with care and attention to detailPrepare molds and tooling through masking, blasting, cleaning, and inspection procedures according to work instructionsOperate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other production-related machinery as trainedAssist with troubleshooting tooling or production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors in a timely mannerWork closely with other departments such as Laser Engraving, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Tool Room teams to coordinate finished work, support workflow efficiency, and ensure production schedules are met.Maintain cleanliness and organization of tooling, equipment, and work areasPerform shipping and receiving duties including checking in tooling, preparing completed jobs for shipment, and organizing incoming materialsRun sample parts and assist with process verification for new or transferred tooling projectsFollow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards at all timesSupport additional production and engraving-related duties as needed to meet customer requirementsMiscellaneous duties in support of the chemical engraving teamQualifications & SkillsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized manufacturing processesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentGood problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsBasic computer and documentation skills preferredPrevious manufacturing, automotive, tooling, machine operation, or industrial experience is a plus, but not requiredExperience with engraving, etching, blasting, molding, or texturing is helpful but not required — training will be provided.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical school training, vocational certification, or manufacturing coursework preferred but not requiredEntry-level candidates encouraged to applyReliable attendance and strong work ethic requiredPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyComfortable working around industrial equipment, tooling, chemicals, and production machinery with proper PPEAbility to work a standard 40-hour work week with overtime and occasional weekends as needed
