Mold TechnicianThe role: Our site in Chaska is seeking a Mold Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hanging molds, performing barrel changes, and installation of all auxiliary equipment included in all set-ups. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, supporting reliable production flow, and contributing to operational excellence.This position will mainly work 10PM-6AM, Monday-Friday.What you'll do:Set up production runs in the press and how to maintain auxiliary equipment (single water units/thermolater, temp controller, robot, end of arm tooling)Press TPMsMold removal to analyze for cleaning/repairs before storingCompletes setup/shut down and barrel purge procedures and job packetsFocuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system qualityPromotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activitiesParticipate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goalsMonitor molded parts for visual and dimensional conformity; take corrective action or escalate when necessaryIncluding all other duties as requiredWhat we seek:Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorshipHigh school diploma or GED required3–5 years of mechanical or injection molding setup experience preferredBasic math, computer literacy, and accurate data entry skills; SAP experience preferredCompetency using powered hand tools, fasteners, and measurement devicesStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail for safety and qualityCompetence in basic math and computer data entryDemonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting ability in mechanical or process-based environmentsExperience participating in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, 6S, or waste?reduction initiativesAbility to recognize and communicate quality defects and ensure parts meet required specificationsPrevious injection mold setup experience preferredAbility to kneel, crawl, crouch, and work in confined spaces during mold changesCan comfortably stand and walk for duration of the shiftPhysical capability to lift up to 60 lbs.Ability to read and follow written instructionsCommitment to safety, adherence to procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work environmentWhat we offer:At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunities for our employees and promote from within.
