Mold Tech IIBrand: Oakley Location: Foothill Ranch, CA, US, 92610 Position: Full-Time Shift :FHR - 2nd Mon-Fri (1P - 9P)Maintain high quality tooling through preventative maintenance, minor repair, and visual evaluationMajor Duties And Responsibilities:Read and understand tooling drawings and follow instructions.Responsible for the correct disassembly and assembly molds in a safe and timely mannerAbility to clean molds and assist Maintenance Technicians when needed.Work to a schedule and meet deadlines in a timely manner.Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.Utilize measuring equipment that include micrometers, calipers, height gage, bore micrometers, etc.Assist in the monitoring process to help keep a reasonable component inventory in stock.Reduce machine downtime.Maintain all tools and equipment that are used including the daily cleaning of tool room machinery.Assist in maintaining records on the computerized maintenance management system.Work with little or no supervision when given clear direction.Work with Process Engineers to trouble shoot issues with tool or improve on.Ability to work on the production floor with tool in press to correct any issue to keep down time at a minimum.Ability to operate a Surface grinder with in a + or -.0002 on critical details.Ability to operate a Bridgeport/Lathe with in a + or -.001 tolerance.Knowledge of Manifold systems Example: Mold Master, Synventive, etc.Able to polish and bench details.Ability to fit new detail and spot in.Ability to troubleshoot issues and repair.Basic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a tool room involving plastic injection mold repair or mold maintenanceMust be a team player and educate and share ideals when needed.Knowledge and understanding of mold and die components and their respective characteristics.Ability to read and understand tooling drawings.Good verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.Willingness to learn new technologies.Ability to handle multiple projects concurrentlyInitiative and proactive behavior in work environmentAbility to work more than 8-hours a day, weekends and holidays as neededPreferred Qualifications:Tool making certificate working in die cast or plastic injection molding5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a tool room involving plastic injection mold repair or mold maintenance.3 to 5 years of experience using hand operated tool room equipment.SAP or other CMMS experience.Prototype Tool making experienceInjection Molding process ExperienceToolmaker/Mold Maker Journeyman certification preferredTrade School or CollegeMust either own or be able to obtain basic hand tools required to complete job responsibilities.Pay Range: $28.81/hr - $42.53/hr
