In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of the mold build process, from planning and assembly through final inspection and mold tryout. If you're passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Mold Maker, you'll be responsible for building, assembling, repairing, and validating precision injection molds while ensuring every tool meets the highest standards for quality, accuracy, and performance.Your responsibilities will include:Build, fit, assemble, and repair injection molds from start to finishPerform final inspections, complete work documentation, and maintain material traceabilityFit and assemble mold components, including cooling and heating circuits, ejector systems, runner systems, and spotting press operationsSpot, troubleshoot, and validate molds to ensure proper function and performancePerform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipmentDevelop and execute detailed mold build plans, including layout, calculations, templates, tooling aids, and verification of mold componentsRead and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructionsIdentify tooling concerns and communicate issues or improvement opportunities to the appropriate team membersSafely operate overhead cranes to transport molds and mold components (up to 50,000 lbs.)Safely operate forklifts to move molds and prepare them for tryouts (up to 5,000 lbs.)Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status between shiftsWhat You BringHigh school diploma or equivalentTen (10) years of related experience as a mold maker, preferredRed Seal certification is considered an assetStrong understanding of mold construction, assembly, repair, and troubleshootingExperience safely operating overhead cranes and forkliftsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong communication, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environmentComfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditionsAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as requiredApply today and build your future with SyBridge Technologies!
