Modeling & Simulation Systems EngineerASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers to support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System in Moorestown, NJ.This role requires employees to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience, or 0-2 years' experience with a Masters' DegreeThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is requiredThis position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)Experience with technical analysis of modeling and simulation of data setsFamiliarity with the flight characteristics, motion, and performance of missile systemsFamiliarity with hard body heating of objects and their corresponding signature representationExperience with Verification and Validation of modeling and simulation of signatures dataExperience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLABMust be familiar with infrared signature concepts and physics behind hard body heating and how they affect infrared intensitiesPreferred Requirements:Strong math, physics and/or engineering background is preferredPrevious experience with analyzing flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters of ballistic missiles is highly desirableStrong background in missile system engineering performanceMastery of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modeling is a plusBackground in IR Signatures modelingFamiliarity with Optical Signatures Code (OSC)Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and KanbanWe invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
