Modeling and Simulation Engineer
$140K to $180K/year

Marathon TS is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support advanced engineering and analysis efforts in the Dayton area. This position will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and apply models used to evaluate complex systems and support technical decision making.
The ideal candidate will have experience with MATLAB and Simulink and a background in modeling, simulation, or engineering analysis. Experience with aerospace, mechanical, or other complex systems is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, modify, and validate engineering models and simulations.
• Use MATLAB and Simulink to support technical analysis and system modeling.
• Analyze simulation results and system performance.
• Apply programming and scripting skills to support modeling, data analysis, and workflow automation.
• Integrate models and simulation tools as part of larger engineering efforts.
• Document modeling approaches, assumptions, results, and technical findings.
• Work with engineers and analysts to support ongoing technical projects.
• Communicate technical information and analysis results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• 2+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, engineering analysis, or a related field.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with programming or scripting using Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience modeling aerospace, mechanical, space, defense, or other complex systems.
• Experience with TMAP or similar modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience with AFSIM, STK, NGTS, ITASE, or other simulation platforms.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, or Cameo.
• Experience supporting government or defense programs.
• Experience working with Agile development teams and tools such as Jira.
