Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoMaintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/riggingEnsure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as neededServices machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipmentRepair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and componentsMaintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usageAbility to work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and coldConserves maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsPossess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance processParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureMaintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulationsAny other tasks as assigned by supervisorWhat You'll NeedMinimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance mechanic experienceExperience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehiclesExperience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulicsProficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manualsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsSpecific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, and heat transferMust be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weatherYour EducationHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
