Mobile Equipment MechanicP&K Stone LLC is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to become a part of our team!The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, light maintenance repair, and equipment inspections on rented, leased, and owned equipment. This includes, but not limited to, front end loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steer loaders, and haul trucks.Job ResponsibilitiesTechnical diagnosis and troubleshootingPerforming preventive maintenance inspection and repairs for each machine, system, and/or mobile equipment.Provide mechanical and electrical repairs across all mining equipment makes and modelsPerform preventative maintenance as required, including oil/filter changes, taking oil samples, etc. per predetermined schedulesPerforms daily maintenance checks on heavy equipment, including fluid checks, grease/lubrication points, and inspections to avoid unnecessary down timeMaintain proper tools/parts inventory for specific jobs.Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to ensure production goals.Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.Other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsMust have a minimum of 2 years' experience in working with heavy dirt equipmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekendsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to communicate with others via a two-way radio.Ability to wear all required safety equipmentAbility to perform duties in a safe mannerAbility to work in a TEAM environmentBilingual a plusPhysical RequirementsMust be willing to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
